Vehicle Artist

You will be joining our Art Team, a group of visionary artists who are the creative force behind the nopixel universe. From the architecture of the city to the vehicles that populate its streets, our artists ensure every element contributes to an immersive and cohesive world. As a Vehicle Artist, you'll collaborate closely with designers, developers and other artists to create assets that are not only visually stunning but also integral to gameplay and storytelling. Your work will directly enhance the player experience, making this a role with both creative freedom and significant impact.

Role Overview

As a Vehicle Artist at nopixel, you will be the mastermind behind the cars, trucks, bikes and other vehicles that define the streets of our world. Your designs will not only look incredible but also play a crucial role in the gameplay, economy and narrative of our server. Whether it's a sleek sports car for high-speed chases or a rugged off-road vehicle for exploration, your creations will be at the heart of the player's journey. This is your chance to leave a lasting mark on one of the most popular role-playing platforms in gaming.

Responsibilities

• Design and model high-quality vehicles that seamlessly integrate into the nopixel universe, ensuring they meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with the design and development teams to create vehicles that enhance gameplay mechanics and storytelling.
• Texture and optimize vehicle models for in-game performance, balancing visual fidelity with technical constraints.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in vehicle design, gaming art, and modding techniques to keep nopixel at the cutting edge.
• Participate in team critiques and iterate on designs based on feedback to achieve the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max. Preferably Blender.
• A strong portfolio showcasing vehicle designs, preferably in a gaming or modding context.
• Experience with texturing, materials, and optimization for game assets.
• A passion for gaming and a deep understanding of how vehicles contribute to immersive role-playing experiences.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Preferred: Experience with GTAV modding or a background in automotive design.
