You will be part of our Experience Development Team, the backbone of nopixel's technical innovation. This team is responsible for designing, building and maintaining the features that define the nopixel experience. From crafting new gameplay mechanics to optimizing performance, the Development Team works hand-in-hand with designers, community managers and quality assurance specialists to ensure every update enhances the player journey. Your contributions will directly shape how thousands of players interact with our world, making this a role with both creative freedom and significant responsibility.
Role Overview
As a nopixel Game Experience Developer, you will play a pivotal role in creating and refining the gameplay features that make our server unique. Your work will directly influence the player experience, from small quality-of-life improvements to major feature overhauls. You'll collaborate with a talented team to bring new ideas to life, ensuring that every update is engaging, balanced, and aligned with our community's expectations. Responsibilities
- Design and implement new gameplay features and mechanics that enhance the role-playing experience.
- Collaborate with designers and community managers to understand player needs and incorporate feedback into development.
- Debug and optimize existing code to improve performance, stability, and overall player satisfaction.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure nopixel remains at the forefront of role-playing innovation.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in TypeScript. TypeScript is required.
- Experience with game development frameworks and tools, particularly those relevant to GTAV modding.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A passion for gaming and a deep understanding of role-playing game mechanics.
- A degree in computer science or a related field is preferred but not required.
